Successful Graduate – Claire Swift
I started with the acrylic sculpting course and passed with a credit 5 years ago. I slowly built up my clients through friends and family and my skills improved the more I did. 2 years ago we decided to completely relocate to the West Midlands- I knew nobody and decided to do the gel polish course which I passed with a distinction. After this I took a self-employed rent a space in a salon – it was slow but I stuck with it until I had an almost full diary after 9 months – I then decided to set up my spare room and work from home. Most of my clients followed me and I have since gained more regulars. I intend on doing the Gel Polish Art course this year and improving my skills further. It’s great having a career that fits round my children and let’s me take a hiatus when my mental health is unstable.
