As from the 15th February 2019, we are unable to enroll new students on our DVD based Nail Courses. On-going support, assessment and certification for all existing students are unaffected.
Every Nail Technician should be able to provide a basic Manicure service for their clients. Good Nail Technicians will be skilled in both Manicure and Pedicure.
The best Nail Techs will mould these basic services into the ultimate in luxury nail services by adding those special touches that bring their clients back for more, time after time. This is what we teach you in the Essential Nails Spa Manicure and Pedicure course: We'll teach you not only the basics, but also those special, pampering services that will bring you more clients and extra income.
There are two courses in the box:
- Manicure
- Pedicure
You can choose to do either Manicure or Pedicure or Both.
The course covers the NVQ curriculum and provides all the tools and products you need.
• This Spa Manicure Pedicure Course is a comprehensive training course.
• It contains everything you need to learn professional Spa Manicure and Pedicure treatments.
• Over 2 hours of incredible tuition, tips and techniques from nail guru Jacqui Jefford and international Nail Technician Denise Wright.
• All techniques are demonstrated on live models, however you can use The Nail Trainer® practice hand (available to purchase separately) to practice your shaping, preparation and polishing technique.
On completing your Spa Manicure and Pedicure course;
• Simply return your completed case study work book and question papers to us for marking.
• We will then assess your work, and if it is of a high enough standard we will issue you with your certificate. There are separate certificates for Manicure and Pedicure.
*The Qualification/Certification that you receive is issued by the Essential Nails Institute and is nationally recognised within the nail industry. What this means is that you will be able to gain your professional indemnity insurance with our certificate. This insurance will cover you to work from home, mobile or in a salon.

I love it, wanted to start with the basics and for me the massage is a must in a treatment which I missed everytime I went to manicurist. I like that the book and DVD is detailed with all the essentials you need for the course and love the DVD as everytime I watched it I felt like I am being treated myself :) brilliant idea to learn the practiculars of the job! I had my first practice day with one of my models a couple of days ago, and she loved it, gonna take sister with next time!!! Can't wait to finish and start working as a pro, just can't decide what to do next, gel or acrylic?! :)

I ordered the course from Essential Nails as I am always getting asked, especially in the spring and summer months for Manicures/Pedicures. Its great, the DVD's which you receive with the course are in depth and I always thought that a Manicure and Pedicure was easy, I cannot wait to start to learn the techniques and receive lots of extra new and existing clients this year to expand my Mobile Business as a Nail technician. Love this course !. I have just about finished all my models now and they loved it. They have booked appointments at the salon in the next month.
