The Tuition

Your tutor for the Nail Art course is Jacqui Jefford; the UK’s top nail educator, author of the industry bible “The Encyclopedia of Nails”, joint creator of the nail NVQ’s, show judge and competitor. Jacqui presents the skills and techniques you need to become a nail art master technician.

She is joined by nail art champion Kirsty Meakin who teaches you some of the fabulous art techniques that have made her a winner worldwide, including the prestigious Las Vegas show!

The Nail Art DVD contains nearly 2 hours of expert instruction for the absolute beginner. The DVD is shot in close up from the student’s viewpoint as techniques are demonstrated on the Nail Trainer hand.

The Course assumes no knowledge on your part and takes you step by step through the process of creating Nail Art masterpieces. The Nail Art manual shadows the lessons on DVD and covers additional information on salon procedures, nail diseases, hygiene and working practices, as well as providing back up step by step instruction to the DVD.

NVQ Curriculum

The DVD follows the NVQ curriculum and in the process of creating 20 stunning designs, you’ll learn the essential, core, nail art techniques. You’ll learn flower designs and animal prints, all about dotting, striping, blends, 2 and 3 colour marbling, glitters, rhinestones, flatstones, transfers, charms, taping and foiling. You’ll learn how to take these basic techniques and produce some competition standard artwork that will delight you, your clients, and your bank balance!

Lessons With The Nail Trainer

You complete the tasks in the lessons on The Nail Trainer, saving your completed nails on the progress cards, which you send to us for assessment along with your completed question papers. If you pass, we will issue you an Essential Nails Institute Certificate at a pass, credit or distinction level.

Industry Recognised Qualification

The qualification, recognised in the industry will enable you to acquire insurance and start work.
